Hot Springs - Mount Magazine – Pig Trail

Thursday, April 18th
Eat a good breakfast. Leave 7:30 AM from TJ Ribs Acadian Thruway parking lot, off I-10.
We will take Hwy. 61 up to Natchez. Not taking interstate, too boring.
Lunch in Monroe…. Off I-20 there is Olive Garden, Copelands, McAlister’s Deli.
Gas up again around here if necessary.
Not much parking up by the entrance of the hotel. Covered parking garage for the hotel is a block south, little walk. Convention Center is down the road that is between the garage and hotel.
There is a diner in the hotel in Hot Springs.
Meet & Greet - hotel lobby / cash bar 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Fashion show starts at 7:30 PM until 8:30 PM.
Registration is open in the lobby / cash bar.
Friday, April 19th
Everyone else arriving, we can go to the lookout tower and whatever planned by our host club. Free day, registration and meet and greet is in the afternoon at the host hotel. Get our cars ready for the show Saturday. Show brochure attached for agenda for Thursday afternoon through Saturday. Must be registered for the evening activities and meals.
Saturday, April 20th
Car show in the convention center. Dinner that evening, will make reservations before we leave for the trip if we need to.
Sunday, April 21st (Easter)
Gas up. Leave around 9:00 AM from hotel. Head to lunch spot, Wiederkehr Wine Cellar Restaurant, 3324 Swiss Family Dr., Wiederkehr Village, AR Reservations are made, and they are open this year for Easter Sunday. We will be there for around 11:30 AM. Fabulous atmosphere and great place.
Take back roads up the mountain to Lodge at Mount Magazine and relax. Dinner, dessert or snack in their own restaurant or we can take to the road back to Paris for a few if you wish.
Monday, April 22nd
Breakfast then leave at hotel at 9:00 AM. Headed to Turner Bend Store at the beginning of the “Pig Trail”. Shop, drive the tail to the end, going to Granny’s Kitchen at 215 N. Parrott Dr. in Huntsville, AR for lunch. May need to gas up here or on the way back to Paris, AR, small town at the foot of the mountain.
In Paris, AR there is a spot we may want to have coffee and dessert, The Grapevine Restaurant. Time dependent.
Now up to the Lodge on Mount Magazine. We will be going rather slow if dusk, deer are on the side of the road. Skycrest Restaurant is located on site for dinner, relax and enjoy the sunset.
Tuesday, April 23rd
Leave Mount Magazine hotel for home at 8:00 AM. Eat breakfast before or snack on something. Back roads Hwy. 27 through Texarkana.
Going through Shreveport and eating lunch at Jason’s Grill off I-49 south of the city, 5808 Line Avenue, Shreveport, LA . We will gas up there also.
