Jungle Roar

I begin my Roar with sad news once more.  Tom Colello’s father has passed away after a brief illness.  Our sincere sympathy to Tom and his family.  Our shut in list is finally dwindling.  Please continue to pray for Ray Spruell and he goes through his treatments and for Ricky Cashio who recently underwent open heart surgery.

Parades and Homecomings are in full swing and keeping Maria and her drivers very, very busy.  She appreciates all who have come out to participate in driving thus far and asks that you consider your availability when she calls on you!  If you are not on the list of drivers and would like to be added, please text, email, phone or sign up at the meetings.

Karen has quite a number of events posted to our calendar.  If you would like to be included in any particular one or several, please notify the member handling the event or feel free to call me and I'll ’point you in the right direction.  ALL NEW MEMBERS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO JUMP RIGHT IN AND JOIN THE FUN!!!!

Quick BRCC dates to remember this month:  Oct. 13th, our Halloween Party at Runnymede for 7:00 P.M.  Costumes encouraged but not required.  Should prove to be very interesting and a lot of laughter! There will be a T.V. available for LSU’s game.

Also, Oct. 20th is LSU’s Homecoming Parade.  ALL members, convertibles, coupes and hardtops are welcomed to participate.  Hope to see most of you there.  I do realize this is GNOCC’s Extravetteganza and several of our members will be participating.  For those of you that will not, please consider the LSU HOCO.  It is quite a bit of fun each year.

Finally, don’t forget to save the wave.  It’s the proud thing to do!

Remember:  Safety in numbers and safety first when bringing those children and grandchildren out to Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween,

Jungle Jim McLin
