June Jungle Roar
Happy Father’s Day
And
Happy 66th Birthday Corvette
I am proud to announce that with much hard work and dedication the BRCC will, once again, send a sizeable check to St. Jude Research Hospital in Memphis. Every dollar sent is a dollar closer to one day finding a cure! Thanks to all who have contributed in some way to this worthy cause!
Several shows and cruise nights are taking place around our area and some out of town/state. By referring often to the calendar of events on our website, you can keep up with all of the latest information. Also, two trips for cars shows in Mississippi requiring optional overnight lodging are scheduled. It’s not too late to get in on the fun. Call, text or email Maria if you would like to reserve rooms in Jackson and/or Biloxi.
We have resurrected the “Sign-In” sheet which is placed on the head table at all monthly meetings. Please make every effort to check in as it is important for us to have a count of attendees. This is also a great opportunity to address any updated information needed pursuant to your listings.
On Sunday, June 30th we will be celebrating the 66th birthday of the Corvette. I am hoping to get a cruise together with our members. Please mark your calendars. If you have any suggestions as to what you would like to do, don’t hesitate to contact me or bring suggestions to our general meeting on June 12th.
As you know we have several shut-ins among our club members. Please pray for them and their families as they face these difficult times.
On a brighter note it’s Father’s Day on June 16th, so ladies it’s YOUR turn to remember to do something nice for “HIM!” Gee I can’t wait to see where Maria is going to let me take her to celebrate. I wonder if that new purse she’s been wanting will be one of my presents. I guess turnabout IS fair play as one year for mother’s day I gave her a police scanner!
With summer here, school is out so please be mindful of kids playing in front yards and running in or near the streets.
Finally, I’ve noticed more and more corvette drivers exchanging the “Thumbs Up” Salute along our highways, so don’t forget to SAVE THE WAVE! It’s the proud thing to do.
Happy Father’s Day
