July Jungle Roar
Happy Independence Day

With a heavy heart we have said goodbye to yet another valued member of the BRCC.  Robert “Bob” Huffman was taken from this earth far too soon!  Forty plus members attended his service wearing red club shirts in his memory!  It’s times like these that prove just how supportive our extended family really is in our club. It was quite moving to see his car parked just outside the churches entry way.  Bob was a former (one of mine) Vice President of the club and current Board Member.  He never met a stranger and mentored quite a number of members.  I will miss his wonderful laughter and hearing him call me “Jim Bo.”  Virginia and family, our deepest sympathy for your loss and ours!  Bob will be forever missed.

In other news, the BRCC celebrated 66 years of the birth of the corvette (6/30/53) with a cruise of 43 members to Middendorf’s.  A good time was enjoyed by all.  Thanks Flo for taking care of ordering the cake, Karen for leading the caravan and to Maria for putting this all together.

With so many cruises and shows coming up, it is important that you refer often to our calendar.  Karen has everything you need to know posted.

On Wednesday, 7/3 we will be joining other participants in the Annual Kenilworth Independence Day Parade.  Several cars have and will be participating again this year.  It doesn’t matter if you have a coupe, hard top or convertible.
All are welcomed to participate.  Bring your spouse/significant other and candy or throws or both if you’d like (not required).   Check the calendar for further information or call Maria.  New Members we hope to see you there!  We will dine at Roux 61 afterwards.

Quick reminder – our July 10th general meeting will be at Hunan’s Rest.  The fire station is using the meeting room for training.  We will begin dining at 5 P.M. if you wish to join us, followed by the meeting at 7 P.M.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Fourth of July and don’t forget to Save the Wave!  It’s the proud thing to do!
