                                                 Happy Thanksgiving

My wish this holiday season is for everyone to have a joyful time with family and friends, putting behind the tragedies experienced last year and into this one.  Blessings to all!

We have been quite busy this past month with parades/homecomings, displays and shows.  GNOCC and MGCCC shows in October were amazing and well attended by our club.  Our club won “Most Club Participation” at Mississippi’s Vettes by the Shore Show this past weekend.  Of course we donated the cash winnings back to their charity.  In addition to so many of the “Ole Timers” receiving “hardware,” a big bunch of High Fives go out to Ricky Cashio, Brian Pitre, Joey Rome and Odie Babineaux on their first ever trophy win!  Our club racked up on sponsors plaques as well!

Now that winter will be upon most of the country, many drivers will say good bye for a few months to their cars as they are tucked away for the cold and often snowy months ahead.  As southerners we are quite fortunate to be able to drive our “babies” pretty much 12 months out of the year!  Weather is great for us so let’s see if we can’t get together with a few LMC’s.

Crescent City has invited us to participate in their Christmas through the Oaks and Lafreniere Park Light display along with dinner.  I have turned in the RSVP, however, if you would like to join in the fun and forgot to sign up, please let Maria know.  The date is December 16th.

Our annual BRCC Christmas Party will take place at Sno’s Rest. In Gonzales on Sunday, December 10th.  Please sign up at the November meeting or send a text, e-mail or give a call to Maria with your RSVP.  As always we will be collecting gift cards for St. Jude’s Kids and playing the Secret Santa Game.  More information is available on the website.  Refer often as Karen keeps up quite up to date on all information as well as changes as they occur.

Finally don’t forget to Save the Wave!  It’s the proud thing to do!

Have an Enjoyable Turkey Day,

Jim McLin, President
