It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to yet another member of our club, Ray Spruell. Ray went to his heavenly reward on Wednesday, December 26th. His wife Pete and children were at his side. Ray and Pete are long standing members of the BRCC. They were very active in all aspects of the club. As supporters of St. Jude you could see their warm and smiling faces at the show pitching in to make it the success that it is today. When Maria called the house, Pete new immediately that was a call for Ray to drive a parade, and he never refused. Most of us had the opportunity to visit briefly with them when they, unexpectedly, surprised us and came to the line-up location (T.J. Ribs) for the LSU Homecoming. It was such a pleasure to share hugs and smiles with two very wonderful people. On behalf of the membership I want to convey heartfelt sympathy to the family. Ray was a loving husband, father and friend. He will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched. I know Maria and I will miss him greatly!

With the New Year comes a host of upcoming shows, cruise ins and other social events. To continue receiving this information, please pay your dues by the end of February. Be sure to include an updated membership application. Also, remember to update your membership information on our website if you haven’t done so.

Finally, we should not dwell on the past year but look ahead to the future. With this comes hopes, dreams, challenges, opportunities and success. My wish for each of you is to have a great year and wonderful 2019!
