August Jungle Roar 
 
Well it looks like the end of summer vacation for most!  Kids will soon be back at school.  Please be on the lookout for them at the bus stops or as they make their way through crossings.   
 
Cruises and shows will be in full swing, not to mention the start of homecomings and parades.  All information is up to date on our website.  Please refer often for important information. 
 
Quite a large group of members are headed to the Jackson Show August 2 – 4th.  Always a great show put on by a wonderful bunch of folks.  If you have not yet made your decision about attending, it’s not too late, give Maria or me a call. 
 
Recently our club made a strong show of support at the Slam’d and Cam’d Show in the Raising Cane’s River Center.  Lots of trophies and surprise gift cards awarded to our members.  Patti has a unique story “behind” her gift card.  But that’s for another time!  I’m sure she’ll be all too happy to share and explain at our next meeting!  Great Show Jim Fox, Kerry Duplessis and the many other people it takes to make a show the success that it was.  We look forward to next year! 
 
Karen and Ted hit the Austin show that same weekend.  They too came home with bragging rights for their awards.  Karen also had the privilege of running Nevrl8 as an official pace car!  Way to go Karen! 
 
Looks like our August 14th meeting will be back at the St. George Fire Station.  Hope to see you there!  Don’t forget our Seafood and Steak out this month.  Maria needs an RSVP - ASAP!!   
 
I’m sure, by now, most of you have seen the new C8 Corvette Stingray!  It will be interesting to hear everyone’s opinion at the meeting and the race is on to see who will be the first to own one in our club.  Any takers??? 
 
We will have an election to fill Bob Huffman’s unexpired seat on the board at the August 14th meeting. This position will again be voted on for the 2020-2021 term in November.   As per Bob’s last official request as a board of director he has asked me to appoint Tom Collelo to fill his vacancy until such time as the election has taken place.  Tom agreed to accept this appointment and will be running for that position at the August 14th meeting.  If you wish to be put on the ballot to run for the unexpired term ending December 31st, please notify me as soon as possible. 
 
Finally, don’t forget to “Save the Wave!”  It’s the proud thing to do!
