April

Jungle Roar

In the wake of this horrible Covid-19 Pandemic, I would like to share some good news for a change!

We welcome Dawn & Todd Vicknair as official new members of the BRCC.  Glad to have you as a part of our family!  Also, spotted around Face Book are pictures of Wade & Linda Smiths new Red C 8 Coupe – first in the club!  Congratulations!

As you all are aware, our St. Jude Car Show for 4/25/2020 has been cancelled.  This unfortunate occurrence has only happened one other time in the history of our show.  We will still have our raffle on April 25th.  If you have any ticket stubs and money or unsold tickets Barry will be collecting them in the Drusilla Seafood Restaurant parking lot on Saturday, April 18th between 10:00 A.M. and noon.  Additionally, I’m happy to announce that through so many generous sponsors & contributor’s, just as the other year without a show, we will still be able to send a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and that ultimately, is what it’s all about!

So many other shows have been cancelled or moved back to later in the year.  Please check your BRCC Calendar and emails for continued updates.  Crescent City Corvette Club is shooting for June 6th, and the Jackson Show has been cancelled for this year.  It really saddens me to have to post that cancellation along with ours as so many of our club members look forward to that show each year.  We do, however, respect their decision to keep people safe since their show is indoors.

BRCC’s Annual Crawfish Boil has been put on hold.  We will take our lead from President Trump on socializing in groups and reschedule accordingly.  Of course both April Board and General Meetings have been cancelled and we will revisit the likelihood of May with regard to cancelling or holding the meetings as we get closer to the time.

This virus has tragically taken so many lives, however there are people recovering as well and this is the hope we hold on to each day!  I pray we all stay healthy.  God Bless our medical personnel, police, firemen, EMT’s, plant workers, grocery store workers and all others that are exposed to the everyday hazards of this virus to help insure our safety and wellbeing.

Please God give us the strength to endure and may Your resurrection at Easter be our salvation!

God Bless and

Happy Easter
