Jungle Roar

It's on folks!  We have been given the green light to have our 23rd Annual Car, Truck & Motorcycle "LABOR OF LOVE" Show on Saturday, May 1st at the Majestic Waterfront Park, located in downtown Plaquemine, LA. 

St. Jude Raffle Ticket sales have been happening every Saturday and will continue until the weekend before the show.  Raffle Ticket Sales Chairman Barry Duplessis could use all the help he can get displaying your vettes and/or selling raffle tickets.  Please check our Calendar of Events on the BRCC Website for these and other important dates.  Sponsors, Contributors, Live & Silent Auction, Goody Bags and 50/50 Raffle Items are areas in need of your help.

Contact Mike Segura, Mark Jurey, me or any chairman for further information.  Remember 100% of the profit goes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and our success depends mainly on you!  For those wishing to stay at the Best Western directly across the street from the show, a block of rooms have been reserved under the Baton Rouge Corvette Club.  We will have a kick-off party the night before for anyone wishing to attend.  R.S.V.P. to Maria by email (Reestoy@eatel.net) or by phone/text (225-715-4513).

Our Annual BRCC Crawfish Boil for Members ONLY is another greatly anticipated returning event.  The date is Saturday, May 15th.  It is very important that you R.S.V.P. by May 3rd to Maria by text, email or a phone call. 

With so many activities returning, please check often for emails and Calendar updates.  Web Master Karen Bedell does a great job keeping us informed.  Let's not let all her hard work go by the way side. 

On a final note, a very dear friend not only personally as a “Brothers in Blue” but a friend to the corvette family, TOM WOOTEN went to meet his heavenly Father this past week.  Tom was well loved and respected by all that knew him.  Our deepest sympathy to his beautiful wife Leah and their family!  Our hearts are truly broken!!!

Spring has sprung!  Get out and drive those gorgeous corvettes and don't forget to Save the Wave, it's the "Proud" thing to do!
