ARTICLE V
Members:
Section 4. Member (Representative)/ Active Member: A member/ representative shall have met the eligibility requirements of Article V. Section 1, has paid annual dues, submitted a Membership Application, Hold Harmless Agreement and purchased an official membership shirt(s). A member shall have full voting rights and privileges.
An Active Member is defined as a member attending no less than six (6) General Meetings and participating in no less than six (6) BRCC sponsored functions. (A required period of time is defined as January to December).
ARTICLE VI
Office-Holding Eligibility
Any Officer or Executive Board Member shall own (or spouse) or be a part owner of a Corvette in his/her name.
Section 1. President Eligibility: Any candidate for the office of President shall be an Active Member who has served on the Executive Board for at least one term (2 years) with no break in membership.
A. An Executive Board Member shall have the right to petition the Board for a waiver to run for President as described in Article VI, Section 1.
Section 2. Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer Eligibility: Any candidate of the office of Vice=President, Secretary or Treasurer shall be an Active Member for a minimum of (1) one year.
Section 3. Director Eligibility: Any candidate for the office of Director shall be an Active Member for a minimum of (1) one year.
Article XV
Section 7. Nominating Committee:
A Nominating Committee shall be composed of the Board of Directors. Their duties and responsibilities are:
- Notify all eligible members for the elected positions. The Nominating Committee shall present a list of candidates at the General Membership Meeting held in August. Additional nominations from the floor shall be permitted during the September General Membership Meeting.
- The Nominating Committee shall review the eligibility of all candidates and present the official list to the President as soon as possible after the September General Meeting.
- Upon acceptance of the list of candidates by the President, the duties of the Nominating Committee shall terminate.
